I'm Francesco — a British–Italian full stack software engineer based in Leeds, currently embedded within Accenture's fintech practice delivering core banking transformation for a leading UK bank. Before that, four years at BJSS building mission-critical public sector systems for NHS Digital and NHS England, including national vaccination cohort platforms serving millions of patients.

My background spans the full stack: C# and .NET microservices on Azure, serverless TypeScript on AWS, data pipelines in Python and PySpark, and clinician-facing UIs in Next.js. I operate in highly regulated environments — healthcare and financial services — where the cost of failure is real.

I have worked exclusively within large-scale enterprise programmes: Tier-1 consultancy delivery, multi-team distributed engineering, offshore coordination (UK + India), and vendor management under SLA. I design systems with longevity, security, and audit-readiness in mind.

I proactively pick up the most technically complex tickets on the sprint. At Accenture I requested to lead on LLD documentation for key financial operations, working directly with Business Analysts, Architects, and Product Owners. I worked across Payments and CORE Product domains within the same account, deliberately seeking breadth to become a stronger technical reference point. Within the first months: approximately 20 tickets completed, including a shared library spanning ~100 files and 1,000+ lines of code.

At BJSS I joined the Cohorting as a Service team at inception and contributed across every layer — front-end NHS apps, GraphQL APIs, AWS infrastructure, data engineering pipelines, and security tooling. Later became line manager for graduate engineers, running structured fortnightly 1:1s, setting career goals, and escalating team concerns effectively. The scale of the NHS work — national vaccination campaigns, identity and authorisation across NHS CIS2 and Azure API Manager, population-level patient data in Databricks — required quality, compliance, and operational rigour that shapes how I approach all software delivery. I never work in isolation from the business context: understanding why a system exists matters as much as how it is built.
